Ken Shelton, Keynote Speaker Ken currently holds an M.A. in Education with a specialization in Educational Technology as well as New Media Design and Production. As a part of his active involvement within the Educational Technology community, Ken is an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Google Certified Teacher, a Discovery STAR Educator, and serves on the Board of Directors for Computer Using Educators "CUE". Ken was also named to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction's Educational Technology Task Force. Ken regularly gives keynotes, presentations, and leads workshops, many of which are hands-on, covering a wide variety of Educational Technology, Technology Storytelling, and Instructional Design topics. Lucy Gray, Keynote Speaker As an education consultant, Lucy works with a variety of institutions on 21st century learning initiatives, including directing the Consortium for School Networking’s Leadership for Mobile Learning initiative. She began her career as a primary grade teacher in Chicago Public Schools, and has served in various capacities related to educational technology at the University of Chicago's Laboratory Schools, Urban Education Institute, and Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education. In 2007, Lucy founded the Global Education Collaborative, a network for educators interested in project-based learning which has been expanded into the Global Education Conference. Jerry Blumengarten taught grades 6-9 for 32 years in the NYC school system. He was a licensed Social Studies teacher but taught more subjects. He also wrote curriculum for his school district, NYC and Open Doors, a school-business partnership. His website, Cybrary Man's Educational Web Sites, began as his school's library website when he served as teacher/librarian. He served two terms on his town's library board of trustees. Jerry also wrote educational materials for the utility industry. He enjoys presenting on writing and skyping into classrooms. On Twitter Jerry is a member of the #edchat team and originator of #engsschat. He has given multiple presentations (in person and over Skype) at EdCamps and national conferences.
